As I head off to shop, sunbake and sock back cocktails in Bali at the end of this week, I thought it'd be the perfect time to run a giveaway.
When is it not a good time for a giveaway?
While in Melbourne recently, I was fortunate enough to attend a Kids Business Blogger BBQ. I was like a kid in a candy shop. Some great brands and products were not only on display, but also available for us to try, consume, sample and take home. It was a great opportunity to get up close with both the products and their staff.
When celeb Hostess Livinia Nixon took to the stage and referred to all of us as mothers, I did audibly snort into my coffee while thinking ahuh, sure you are...you and your Nanny and your cleaner and your daily TV hair and make up... and then I met her and she had lunch at our table and she's actually quite awesome and normal. She won me over when telling us how she's fallen asleep having her make up done, thanks to being a tired Mum; and also how she lives by her slow cooker, putting dinner on most days before she leaves the house. Sigh. Just like me. Just like me but gorgeous and glamorous. I so wanted to hate her. Alas, instead, I can confirm she is indeed a Mum like the rest of us, even if she gets her hair and make up done for her. And she is totally lovely and hilarious to boot.
Some of the other highlights....
The food...OMG, the food. The only thing missing was an accompanying glass bottle of white wine. My kids have dined on Lenard's chicken at least twice a week since I got home. I love Lenard's, but hadn't bought it for a while. So I was genuinely excited to sample some of their newer products.
Lenny Pops are my saviour. I have frequented three different Lenard's stores near me, just so no one store cottons on to just how often my kids are eating them.
My personal favourite's the rolled roasts. Camembert and Bacon is currently at the top of my list and I would quite happily eat one every other day of the week.
If you haven't tried their products, then you really should. They're as tasty as what I imagine George Clooney would be. They're quick and easy to cook, and all the pesky and time consuming preparation has already been done for you.
You don't have to take my word for it - Lenard's have kindly offered up a $20 gift voucher so someone else can get their share of Lenny Pops before I completely obliterate supplies.
When I'd finished stuffing my face, I became acquainted with the Ella's Kitchen people. Largely because my name tag had been lost, and so I'd been given a replacement which bore the details of one of the Ella's Kitchen staff. I kindly offered to take over, should he need a toilet break, with full intent of stuffing every empty pocket and loose piece of clothing with sachets of fruit and veg goodness. He declined.
I'm a huge fan of anything that is packed with healthy veg, that my kids will actually willingly eat. Especially as we travel quite a bit, and I'm often not in a position to prepare and covertly hide veg in their meals like I would at home.
Ella's Kitchen products are 100% organic and all natural, with absolutely no preservatives or added water (unlike most pre-packaged foods). They provide maximum parental smugness, so go grab some and pat yourself on the back for your healthy parenting.
I've got half a suitcase filled with these, so The Feral Threesome can each have one a day while we're in Bali, totally cancelling out any parental guilt at the volume of french fries they'll otherwise be consuming. They're also affordable, and didn't cost me a month's wine allowance in return for my guilt-free holiday.
Thanks to Ella's Kitchen, I have a sample pack to give away, including:
- A selection of 6 of their products
- Funky lunch bag made from the recycled product pouches
- Handy Mealtime guide including hints, tips, and a reward chard with stickers.
And finally, the brand that saved me from forking out for pricey gifts to take home to The Feral Threesome:
To say that they were generous is an understatement. They kindly gave me a gift bag for each of the kids, which I promptly photographed and posted to Facebook for Miss6 to squeal over.
Crayola products are a fixture in most households. They're the guilt-free entertainment option when you have things to do, but know you've maxed out your TV babysitting hours for the day.
I remember begging for a Crayola Caddy when I was young (oh so recently), and while they're still making the old favourites, keep your eyes peeled for some great new licensed products due to hit stores in the coming months - from Dora The Explorer to Cars to Disney Princesses - it's all covered.
I didn't get a chance to beg Crayola for a giveaway (and I didn't feel comfortable doing so, on account of how generous they were with the goodie bags for The Feral Threesome), so instead I've grabbed a couple of awesome Crayola products to give away:
Crayola Extreme Color & Create and a Glow Explosion Sand Art kit.

ReplyDeleteI would have to score the Leonards prize. Miss 4 has taken to drawing on the beige walls with brightly coloured textas. The Chux magic sponges are definately getting a workout and their shares have recently gone up from the packs of sponges that I have had to buy in recent weeks. Hence, all textas have been banned from the beige house.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Lenards, winning that voucher would give us a couple of very tasty meals :) I'm a fan on FAcebook (Kate Ryan).

ReplyDeleteThe Ellas Kitchen Sample Pack; purely for the reward chart....... they can have the crayons and the reward chart is mine.... 1 glass of wine for each 'banana' I DONT throw due to sudocream being smooshed into carpet yet AGAIN, murals drawn on walls with contents of nappy/ jocks or after hubby plays 'poo game' by sending stinky pants to me and then making himself scarce! I'm ready to get my 'rewards' right now!
