It is a sad day when your offspring have a more packed
social calendar than you do.
The Twin Tornado have already kicked off their kindergarten socialising with birthday parties attended and others booked in.
Miss7 has play dates and parties.
Then there's the sports and other lessons.
Meanwhile, I have dental check ups and doctors appointments.
They have a bona fida Social Calendar :
While I have the anti-social calendar :
WTF?
When did the tables turn and suddenly they’re the ones
partying with their friends while I consult my GP about osteoporosis and down
shots of water with my arsenal of multi vitamins?
It was troubling me so much that I woke with a start the
other night, in a cold sweat.
I had the solution!
I need a part time job, just on the days the Twin
Tornado are at school.
New friends, adult conversation, a bit of extra booze and shopping cash - win, win!
MY IMMEDIATE THOUGHT WAS THE LOCAL BOWLING CLUB
Again….WTF?
I am like 5 seconds from signing up for a Retirement Home / Lifestyle Village.

Hanging out with old people is awesome. They make you feel incredibly young. And you can tell them the same story over and over again and they never get sick of it - unlike my children.
ReplyDeleteYeah I feel you...my boys go out n about more than I do! Not sure when that happened...I even got told by my 18 year old that I am too old to go dancing at nightclubs - how did that happen? Bring back the good old days :)
